Bunratty Castle is a 15th century tower house built by the MacNamara family. The name was derived from the phrase Bun Na Raite, which is Irish for river basin. The Ratty River, as seen in this photo, flows alongside the castle and into the Shannon estuary. The picturesque old structure and the surrounding folk park are run by Shannon Heritage as tourist attractions.

Walking across the folk town and into the enchanting woods, I chanced upon these curious and whimsical objects. Little did I realize I walked through a Fairy trail and into this magical world of mystical creatures. They are friendly and are welcoming of visitors, especially kids.
Nothing whimsical here, just bugs busy as can be. The hotel manager for the Bug Hotel seems really nice and truly hard-working. I believe all beings named Neil are.
Don't run... Just admire. These Irish Wolfhounds maybe tall for dogs but are really gentle and quite intelligent. Throughout history, this breed is known as a hunter and a companion of nobility. Irish Wolfhounds lived in Ireland long before the arrival of Christianity. They are quite popular around the Folk Park. Irish Wolfhounds, plus more animals are found at the pet farm and farm animals.
