Gibraltar: Guided Tour by Minivan Including Tickets

Gibraltar's name traces its roots to the Arabic "jabal ʽalā aṭ-ṭarīq" meaning "mountain on the way," in reference to the Rock of Gibraltar, a monolithic limestone promontory located at the edge of the Iberian peninsula. A British overseas territory, this state used to be a part of the Spanish empire. In 1713, the territory was ceded to Great Britian in perpetuity to the Treaty of Utrecht. In 2000, The United Kingdom and Gibraltar both left the European Union through Brexit. The UK and Spain agreed in principle to a basis on which the UK and the EU might negotiate terms for Gibraltar to participate in aspects of the Schengen Agreement.  #VisitGibraltar
