Built for the Christian King Peter of Castile, the Alcázar of Seville or al-Qasr al-Muriq (Arabic) which means The Verdant Palace, is a royal palace in Seville.
The palace draws a lot of inspiration from Mudejar architecture but also features Gothic, Renaissance and Romanesque design elements. Along with the Seville Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies, Real Alcazar are all declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The palace is immortalized in films like "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Kingdom of Heaven."
