Poznań is one of the oldest cities in Poland. Officially, its name is Stołeczne Miasto Poznań, or "The Capital City of Poznań." This is the fountain of Neptune at the Old Market Square.
There is a spectacle not to be missed at the Old Market Square at noon. As the clock on top of the Poznań Town Hall strikes 12 at noon, two fighting mechanical goats head butts and become the symbol of this old town. Another symbol appreciated by the crowd is the trumpeter on top of the town hall.
