Standing tall and proud but hidden under layers of scaffolding, is the Big Ben... Elizabeth Tower? Great Bell? Clock Tower? Unfortunately for us, the scheduled restoration is in full swing and won't be finished for at least 3 years. It's a small price to pay for us to go on this trip as scheduled and miss out seeing Big Ben in all its glory. Perhaps this is a reason to return a couple of years later, which I plan on doing so.
