Mostar

To cycle or canoe? #BiHy

· BiH

Mostar feels like a dream. Open a classic fairy tale about a beautiful faraway land and Mostar fits the bill. This city has endured conflicts from the Ottoman period, all the way to the modern Bosnian War. Multi-million dollars worth of restoration efforts are visible, most notably, the rehabilitation of the iconic old bridge.

Apparently, jumping off the old bridge is a thing. Fit Bosnian men in speedos jumping off from the top of the bridge to river Neretva, much to the delight of the spectators. Neretva is a gorgeous crystal blue river flowing through Bosnia & Herzegovina and Croatia.

The bridge itself gets really crowded so take the necessary precautionary measures.
